Chart Object

The Chart Object is available in Investor2007, and is a tool providing you with powerful charting and analysis capabilities. You can get charts by the year, quarter, month, week, day, hour, minute, or tick in real-time. Using pre-defined templates and user-defined preferences, you can create a charting environment customized for your trading needs.

Charts are intended to illustrate current and historical price performance. In addition, you can apply various analysis techniques to your data to help you identify the patterns in your security analysis.

Navigation

Navigation in an Investor2007 Chart Object is very flexible. To perform tasks you can either:

Right mouse click

You can right-click on any item in a Chart Object to display a context-sensitive menu of available commands.

Double-click left mouse button

Double-click your left mouse button on any part of the Chart Object displays the properties for the specific item. For example, double-click the x-axis opens Chart Window Properties.

Drag and drop

You can drag and drop within a chart and between charts for the following items:

  • Analyses
  • Line studies
  • Annotations

The guide provides procedures which allow you to perform various actions. In this guide we have included full paths for actions. In place of these paths you can often use alternative access methods such as right-clicking the mouse button.
